What followed was a series of low paying andless than satisfying jobs, that included union stagehand, bouncer, computer operator, temporary accountant, tax preparer, computer assembly, salesman, loan officer, branch manager for a financial institution, and staff appraiser. Along the way, I collected a B.S. degree in accounting, survived open heart surgery, and married the first girl I met at the Gustavus convocation (proposing to her at the exact place where we met in Christ Chapel 20 years earlier). Today, I am a Vice President of Valuation and Advisory Services for CB Richard Ellis, a Fortune 500 company, and owner of Nokomis Appraisals, as well as an appointed Commissioner with the City of Minneapolis Board of Tax Equalization.
