Nancy (Carlson) McCoy (89) Posted on June 15th, 2010 by

Nancy lives in Tomah, Wisconsin, where she is raising two boys, four horses, 13 chickens, two cats and one husband!  She is  a US Army Major in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps.  In the summer of 2010, she is beginning another 365 days full-time mobilization at Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin, working with deploying and redeploying soldiers, providing them legal assistance of every kind.  Ft. McCoy is a power projection platform for the US Army so it receives  soldiers ready for deployment and prepares them to go home when they are done. Nancy has become a master of her grandmother’s homemade rye bread recipe, which she figured out after her grandmother’s death with no recipe.  Her family reports that she makes the bread to perfection.  Her boys eat it every day for a snack with peanut butter and honey from her farrier.
